RON VELVET is the musical alter ego of Filipino-American actor, Ron Nery Jr. Since childhood, Ron never shied away from the spotlight, whether starring in school plays, or dancing competitively for UC Riverside’s 909 Hip-Hop Dance Troupe, where he was able to open for artists such as Busta Rhymes & E-40. Upon graduating, Ron went onto compete on CMT’s “Your Chance to Dance” and has also performed at a number of notable venues, including the Hollywood Bowl & The Pasadena Civic Auditorium. With his debut album, The Velvet EP, RON VELVET aspires to create a lane in mainstream music for Asian-American artists.

RON NERY JR is a Los Angeles based actor who most recently booked roles on Marc Cherry's "Why Women Kill" (Paramount+) and NBC's "Good Girls" opposite Christina Hendricks, Retta & Mae Whitman. His self-produced/written short film "Mesti-So?!" won the RED Digital Award at the Warner Bros sponsored AT&T SHAPE Create-A-Thon.
